So You Think You Can Write For Late Night – SEASON FINALE

Ok, so you’ve racked up 100 or so freelance jokes on Leno or Letterman and now you’re ready for a shot at a staff position.

Not so fast…

If you’re serious about nabbing a staff position at a late night/variety show, you’re going to need REPRESENTATION.

Without a rep or an amazing contact, you ain’t getting in.

An agent will do wonders for your comedy TV writing career since most are well-connected to networks.

That’s the good news.

The bad news: getting an agent – especially at one of the major agencies – is like trying to get Megan Fox to notice you.

Impossible.

But possible.

Freelance writers who get 100 or so jokes on a show like Leno or SNL are a dime a dozen.

So you ask yourself…

How can YOU stand out from the crowd?

Agencies are ALWAYS looking for the next big thing.

If you can FIND A WAY to catch their attention, they’ll be on you like Lawrence Taylor on an underage hooker.

It’s a pity that Megan was dropped for Transformers 3. But I know she will do well with her next movie.
